Terms & Conditions
These terms apply when you book coaching with Apex Speaking (ABN 84 297 697 882). By booking a session you agree to them.
Our services
We provide public speaking and debating coaching for students, generally between Years 5 and 10, delivered online. Sessions run for two hours and are adapted to the student on the day. Coaching may be one-on-one, in a small group, or with a school team.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a time with you in writing, by email or message. Session times are held for you once confirmed.
Fees and payment
Rates are quoted directly when you enquire, as they depend on the format and whether sessions are individual or group. Payment terms are agreed with you at the time of booking. Fees quoted are in Australian dollars.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or move a session, please let us know as early as you can so the time can be reallocated. We will always try to reschedule rather than charge for a missed session. If we need to cancel, we will offer you a replacement session or a refund for that session.
Scholarships
We offer scholarships at our discretion to students who show real promise. Scholarships are not transferable and may be reviewed if a student stops attending.
Conduct and safety
We ask that students attend on time, participate, and treat coaches and other students with respect. We may end a session or decline further bookings if a student's behaviour makes coaching unworkable for others.
Sessions run online. A parent or guardian is responsible for the student's supervision and internet access during a session.
Results
We coach students to improve, and we are honest about what that takes. We cannot and do not guarantee any particular competition result, mark, selection, or placement.
Our materials
Any notes, frameworks, drills or written material we provide are for the personal use of the enrolled student. Please do not redistribute or resell them.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to our coaching is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the fee paid for it.
Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you book is the one that applies to that booking.
